When: January 6th at 1 P.M.
Where: A Table Apart | 4295 Bonita Beach Road
What: Bucket Garden Seminar
Who would be interested?: Condo dwellers, renters, and people in gated communities without land for a garden. Anyone who wants to garden but is too busy to water all the time.
Join Farmer Ken Ryan and Chefs Jeff Acol and Joe Dodd at A Table Apart as we set up the restaurant’s new self-watering bucket garden. While the restaurant will use its produce to supply its award-winning kitchen, you can learn how to grow your own fruits and vegetables with this inexpensive and easy way to container garden.
Ken Ryan received the Innovative Farmer of the Year Award this year and knows a thing or two about growing in Southwest Florida. He runs Urban Farms, one of the most successful suppliers of micro-greens and specialty produce to Southwest Florida’s finest restaurants. He will advise on what to plant, when, and the best resources for planting material, seeds, and plants. Ryan offers a wealth of information and you’ll have a chance to win a bucket garden of your own.
The cost is a donation of $20 which will go directly towards the Bonita Springs Middle School Garden which both Ken Ryan and the chefs at A Table Apart are helping bring to fruition. Sunshine Ace Hardware is also donating materials for this class.
We are limiting the class at 50 so reserve your spot now by emailing us here: [email protected].
